We live in Central Florida with our cat, Oswald. We love movies, traveling, exploring nature, cooking, and spending time together, and we’re often laughing and finding joy in the little things.
We have always dreamed of growing our family and feel that open adoption is the right path for us.
We are so grateful for the life we’ve built together and would be honored to share that love and stability with your child. Thank you for considering us and taking the time to get to know us a little more!
OUR STORY
We met online after Zoey moved to Florida for graduate school, and after our first date, we quickly realized how strong our connection was. We’ve been inseparable ever since! We got married in March 2020, right before the world shut down, and truly grew even closer during that time. What makes our relationship strong is that we’re best friends. We love being together, whether we’re traveling or just running errands, and we balance laughter and lightheartedness with meaningful, thoughtful conversations.
Communication, shared values, and a strong sense of partnership are at the core of our marriage.
Most evenings, we enjoy a home-cooked meal together, followed by a walk through our neighborhood or relaxing with a movie or show. On weekends, we love exploring our community, trying new restaurants, and spending time together. From early on, we knew we wanted to become parents, and adoption felt like the right path for us.
We are so excited to grow our family and share our lives with a child!
OUR HOME
We recently moved to Lakeland, one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Florida, and fell in love with its walkable downtown, strong sense of community, and relaxed pace of life.
Our home is in a large, family-friendly neighborhood with playgrounds, walking trails, and lakes, and we truly feel it’s our dream home—one we chose with our future family in mind. We love spending time together watching movies in our theater, doing puzzles in the library, and cooking or baking in the kitchen. We also enjoy relaxing on our screened-in patio in the evenings, especially at sunset, and every April we get a great view of the Sun ’n Fun air expo as planes fly overhead.
We enjoy experiencing all four seasons and try to travel to find them. Florida winters are our favorite, and we spend as much time outside as we can. In the summer, we enjoy swimming, beach days, and indoor activities like movies. We’re about an hour from the theme parks and love to visit, and our town always has something going on—farmers markets, festivals, concerts, and community events—so there’s always something fun to do together.
OUR FAMILY
We both value time with our families.
Zoey’s family includes her mom, dad, younger brother, and his wife; her parents split time between Florida and New Jersey, and her brother and his wife live in Boston. Mike’s includes his mom and dad, who live in South Florida, and his older brother, and his wife, who live in Pittsburgh. Our child will be the first grandchild for both our families and our parents could not be more excited - they have been waiting to share their love and spoil their grandchild!
In addition to immediate family we both have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all over the country that we keep in touch with. We are lucky to have a wide network of close friends, both across the country and here locally, who we regularly keep up with. We enjoy entertaining, whether it’s hosting game nights, weekend dinners, or small parties at our house. Everyone knows about our adoption journey and they are all incredibly excited and supportive. Zoey’s cousins were adopted as newborns and have always been a part of the family. They have supported our adoption process with advice and encouragement.

Enjoys cozy hobbies like puzzles, baking, movies, video games, and crafting miniatures
Grew up dancing, including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and hip hop
Perfect day includes a nature walk, a coffee shop treat, reading on the patio, and ending with pizza and a movie night
Loves nature walks and slow, relaxing days at home
Has traveled to 28 states and 21 countries
Favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas

Perfect day includes a chilly morning walk, an afternoon at a record store, and a cozy movie night at home
