We are so grateful that you’re taking the time to learn about us and giving us the chance to introduce ourselves.

For years, we have dreamed of growing our family through adoption and are excited to welcome a child into our home and hearts, providing them with a life full of joy, support, and unconditional love.

We hope to build a relationship with you rooted in respect and compassion, one that feels comfortable for everyone. Being together for more than eleven years, we’ve spent a lot of time talking about the values that matter most to us as a family. We hope to raise a child who leads with compassion and empathy, striving to understand the world through others’ perspectives, while also valuing integrity and honesty and choosing to do the right thing. We want to nurture a sense of curiosity and a love for learning, alongside humility, self-reflection and the ability to admit when you’re wrong and grow from it. Above all, we hope our home reflects kindness, where we treat ourselves and others with generosity, care, and respect.

OUR STORY

We met in a college town while attending different graduate schools. For our first date, we went stargazing, and talked until the early morning. Since then, we haven’t stopped going on dates, sharing jokes and stories, playing games, recounting our days to each other, and traveling together.

Even after more than eleven years together, every day still feels new and exciting.

OUR HOME

We live in a neighborhood just outside of Washington, DC that is considered one of the most diverse in the United States.

There’s always something to explore nearby, from community events and farmers’ markets to parks, museums, and indoor and outdoor sports. Each season brings its own traditions, like cherry blossom viewings and kite festivals in the spring, and Christmas markets and holiday light shows in the winter. We look forward to discovering new places and activities in our neighborhood with our child.

Our apartment is conveniently located near public transportation, grocery and retail stores, as well as parks and recreational activities. Our building community includes people of many different ages and cultures, including several families with young children. There are community spaces where the building management team hosts family friendly events throughout the year, creating a welcoming and connected environment.

SHARED HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Cooking: We love cooking and hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
Board games, video games, and puzzles: We play a lot of cooperative games and go to escape rooms with our friends.
Books: We read and discuss new releases from our favorite authors.
Community events: We enjoy attending local arts, food, and cultural festivals.
Traveling: We especially love tasting local cuisines and exploring historical sites.
