Hi! We’re Susan and Jeff
We’re hoping to adopt!
Learn more about us by downloading and reading our adoption profile book.
We are a fun and loving couple who are hoping to start our family through adoption. We currently don't have children due to infertility and are excited to welcome a child with open arms.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and our life together.
We can only imagine how difficult the choice you are making must be and want you to
know that we truly respect your decision no matter what it may be.
We are looking forward to sharing in life's experiences and making lots of memories as we raise your child as our own. We are interested in an open adoption where we can provide periodic updates and photos with how your child is developing and progressing through their life. We believe it is important for your child to understand adoption is part of their story.
GETTING TO KNOW US
We met online through a match making app
We were a 99% match! Susan was attracted to Jeff's intelligence, family values, and dedication to his fire department. Jeff was attracted to Susan's warm and caring personality. From the beginning, our conversations flowed easily and we shared a similar sense of humor. We lived about 45 minutes apart so we texted for two weeks and talked on the phone once before we met in person, which was at a local farmers market. After that our first "official" date was a New Year's Eve party at one of Jeff's fellow firefighter's house. We still joke about how Susan met all of Jeff's friends and family on the first date.
Our Hobbies
We love to go camping. We have a camper and take several trips a year to different areas. We are very much looking forward to sharing camping adventures with our kids.
Susan enjoys cooking and scrapbooking photos, stories, and memories.
We also spend a lot of time volunteering at the firehouse in many different ways, Jeff is a firefighter and Susan is part of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Jeff is quite handy and enjoys fixing and building just about anything!
OUR HOME
We live in a beautiful area of southeast Pennsylvania
We have four distinct seasons and enjoy all of the activities and traditions that come with each of them. We live in a town that is small enough to have a great sense of community, but large enough to have plenty of diversity. We live in area that has a highly rated public school system. Our town has many annual events such as Winter Fest, Celtic Fest, Memorial Day Parade and Gallery of the Arts. Our home is cozy and welcoming, but also large enough to spread out for activities when needed. We take a lot of pride in our home because Jeff bought it in an auction and has basically "flipped" it himself with lots of hard work. We are also thankful to have a great group of friendly and helpful neighbors.
OUR FURRY FRIEND
We have a black lab that we rescued from a local animal rescue two years ago.
Her name is Athena and she is sweet, playful, and so smart. She enjoys running around with her frisbee in the back yard. Jeff's parents take care of her on Susan's work days, it has been fun to see her develop routines with them too.
MEET OUR LOVED ONES
Jeff's parents are retired teachers that live nearby. His mom taught Home Economics and his dad taught Wood Shop. We see them regularly and enjoy camping with them when we can. Susan's parents live about 3 hours away, and we enjoy taking weekend trips to visit. They have a farm property that is nice for picnics and other gatherings. Many summer holidays are spent at the farm enjoying great food and games. Susan's brother and his family, including five kids ages 9 through 19, currently live in California. We recently took a trip to visit and the whole family went to Disneyland! We also consider our "firehouse family" to be a big part of our lives. They are very supportive. When all of our friends, family, and neighbors came together for our wedding in 2017, we truly realized what a great support system we have.
