Adoption and foster care are very close to my heart. I was a foster parent for some time and after having this life changing experience it became clear to me how much I hoped to become a Mom one day. My family and friends would tell you that I have always gravitated toward caring for children.
I promise that I will honor your culture and family traditions.
I hope that we can build a relationship that will work for both of us. I will work to give a child all the opportunities throughout their lives to be successful and to have exciting new life experiences. I’m lucky that my job gives me the opportunity to travel the world. I dream of sharing the world and having many adventures with a baby one day.
ABOUT ME
I know I might strike you as a bit unconventional - I am a single woman, and I travel the world for a living!
I hope you will allow me to explain the amazing life adventures that I will bring to the life of your baby beyond the great love I already have for my future children.
I have lived in Latin America (Mexico, Chile and Honduras), Afghanistan, New York City and San Francisco. I speak Spanish as a second language and am learning Italian because I will move to Rome, Italy in 2023 for a three-year assignment!
I have traveled to over 60 countries, swam with great white sharks and gone on Safari’s in South Africa, worked at an elephant camp in Thailand, rode the Trans-Siberian railway from Beijing through Mongolia and across Russia to Moscow. I bungee jumped off the bridge over Victoria Falls in Zambia, hugged a Giant Panda in Chengdu, China, hiked to see mountain Gorillas in Rwanda, sky dived in San Diego and have camped out to see the Northern Lights in Iceland in winter.
I’ve done so much, but what I long for the most for this next chapter in my life is to become a mother.
I want to share these adventures and so much more with a child, teach them about different cultures, learn new languages, and help them find their place in the world as global citizens and make sure they can see themselves reflected back in it.
I understand the responsibility of being a single mother. This is something I have thought long and hard about; I believe I will be a rockstar mother!
MY HOME
I live in San Francisco!
While I love the quiet of rural areas, I am at heart someone who loves living in a city. Cities are a fun place for kids to grow up because of the endless possibilities – museums, theaters, exploring different neighborhoods and volunteering in the community. My family loved being out in nature - hiking the mountains and summer visits to the beach. My parents were big on road trips, which is still one of my favorite things to do. My mother and father were super creative, and loved to cook and they involved me and my siblings.
My favorite season is autumn and October is my favorite month. There is nothing more comforting than crisp autumn air, a hot apple cider and the changes of colors on the leaves. I am excited to one day take a baby to the pumpkin patch and on hayrides. I envision us working together to make homemade Halloween costumes like my mother did with me. The best thing about my job is that a child will have the chance to see and experience the annual traditions in other countries in addition to the American traditions I will share.
MY FAMILY
Your baby will have no shortage of aunts and uncles (biological and chosen) living all across the world, all of whom who are so excited to welcome them into our family.
Although I grew up in a military family and moved around the US, I still have close friends from childhood through college and beyond. The important people in my life come from all backgrounds, different religions, cultures, ethnicities and nationalities. That is the gift of making the world my home! We love any excuse for a celebration, theme dinner party or game night. I love to propose fun ideas for adventures to family and friends (like baby goat yoga or a murder mystery party), and they are always up for an adventure!
My immediate family, particularly my mother (“Amma” to her grandchildren) loves arts and crafts and has a green thumb. We are animal people, particularly dog people. We had so many pets when I was growing up and one day, I want this experience for my child. Caring for pets creates a sense of responsibility and provides us with so much love. We love cooking together, decorating for holidays, playing board games and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Movie nights are always a hit when we get together. When I was growing up we visited the White Mountains in New Hampshire often, and it was there my late father was at his happiest; this is a special place that I hope to share with my own children one day, telling them about their amazing grandfather.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Chocolate chip and peanut butter & chocolate
Hobbies: Cooking; its one of my passions and I’m told I’m pretty great at it!
Favorite Children’s Book: Harry Potter series;
so magical!Favorite Historical Figure: Eleanor Roosevelt; just such a cool lady, definitely ahead of her time!
Favorite Seasonal activity: A visit to the pumpkin patch with a nice hot apple cider & hay ride in October
