Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us as future parents for your child. We are very grateful for the chance to be considered and hope you enjoy a peek into our lives. 

We have been a happy couple for over 15 years. Becca is an elementary special education teacher and Kris is a computer programmer.  Sadly, we were not able to have children biologically. We tried for years, including many rounds of fertility treatments. Despite these difficulties, our dream is still to become parents and raise a family together. 

Adoption is already a big part of our lives. Becca’s father adopted a child 12 years ago, and we know firsthand how an adopted child can bring so much joy and love to a family. 

We would cherish the chance to raise a child, to share in their joy as well as the challenges life brings, to impart knowledge and values, and to see them grow. 

 ABOUT US

Our best friends describe us both as laid back.

We met in 2006. Becca was finishing up her Master's degree in Boston and took a job teaching adults gymnastics, putting her childhood gymnastic skills to good use. Kris had been taking the class because he had always wanted to learn how to do “cool flips”. We hit it off right away, quickly becoming friends and then dating shortly after.

We try to approach life with curiosity, gratitude and respect for each other, with a touch of silliness. We both like to be active and have been lucky to share many hobbies, from gymnastics, to triathlons, tennis, and now the latest sport craze, pickleball. At home we’ve gotten into healthy cooking and most nights will involve either playing music/singing together, watching British crime dramas, or an impromptu kitchen dance party.

After Boston we moved to San Francisco near Becca’s family, and then Kris’s job took us to Chicago for 5 years. In 2019 we made our final move to Central Florida where we found a great community for raising a family.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES

We recently decided to leave the winter and big city life behind and bought our first home in a lovely suburban neighborhood in Central Florida. We’re really excited to raise a child in our neighborhood as there are so many fun places and activities all around us. Near our house are several large parks and a nice walking trail along the Florida coast.

We can’t wait to build a family in this wonderful community.

Friends and family are everything to us! We feel very fortunate to have such a strong support system who are excited to help us as we start a family of our own. We’ve already had many offers to come and help babysit, which I’m sure we will be more than happy to accept.

Having family on opposite coasts, we’re often traveling for holidays and other occasions. Because Becca is a teacher, we are also able to spend a big part of the summer staying with her relatives in California, which is also a fantastic break from the Florida summer. Becca has a wonderful nephew, niece and brother that we talk to every week. We have enjoyed watching them grow up from infants.
