Before anything else, we want to acknowledge the tremendous courage behind the decision you’re considering. We know it likely comes with many emotions, and we deeply admire your strength and the love you have for your child.
We live in beautiful Colorado with our Bernese Mountain Dog, Winston. We’ve been married seven years (together nine) and have always dreamed of becoming parents. Adoption has been on our hearts from the beginning, and after a long journey through infertility and pregnancy loss, our hope for adoption has only grown stronger.
We want you to know that we’re here to support you in any way we can.
If you choose to move forward with us, we promise to respect your wishes for updates and contact, and to honor your role in your child’s life. Raising your child would be the greatest gift and privilege of our lives.
OUR STORY
Like many millennials, we met online and quickly discovered we had several mutual friends. Our first date lasted over three hours, and we instantly connected. The next day we went on our second date, and the rest is history. After a year of dating, we got engaged at Disney World in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom!
We love and respect each other deeply, communicate openly, and never bottle up our feelings. We make each other laugh constantly, share countless inside jokes, and quote our favorite movies and shows daily.
Faith is at the heart of our marriage and keeps our relationship strong.
Angie is a United Methodist pastor who finds deep joy and purpose in building community, caring for others, and helping people grow in faith. Russ works from home as an accountant for an education software company, using his love of numbers and problem-solving to support teachers and students. He’s especially grateful for the flexibility his job gives our family.
We promise to provide a home filled with warmth, acceptance, and belonging, where your child will always feel safe, cherished, and encouraged to grow into the person they’re meant to be.
OUR HOME
We live in a brand new home in a thriving, family-friendly community.
Kids are often playing outside, riding bikes, and spending time together. Our town is known as one of the safest in the state and has a welcoming atmosphere.
Our spacious, bright home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a three-car garage. There’s plenty of room for family, friends, and future playdates. The large fenced yard is perfect for outdoor play, barbecues, and family time. We’re just a two-minute walk from the local recreation center, with an indoor pool and activities for kids, and we’re close to playgrounds, walking trails, and friends and family. One of our favorite things is walking our puppy, Winston, through the neighborhood.
We love decorating our home for every holiday, especially Halloween and Christmas, and can’t wait to include our future child in these traditions. We dream of a home filled with crafts, toys, laughter, and little shoes by the door, a warm, joyful place where a child can grow, play, and thrive.
OUR FAMILY
We are blessed with both given and chosen family who have loved and supported us through every season of life.
Our parents, siblings, extended relatives, and dear friends have encouraged us, prayed for us, and celebrated with us through the highs and lows. We know they will bring that same love and support to our future child. Russ has a younger sister who lives nearby in Colorado and Russ is close to his mom who lives Montana. She is overjoyed at the thought of becoming a grandma! Angie’s parents are retired physicians who live only thirty minutes away and are so excited to have a grandchild! Angie’s sister lives in Chicago with her wife and they have two cats. Russ grew up next door to his pastor and his pastor’s family adopted twice. This experience really shaped Russ’s heart for adoption and inspired him to pursue adoption with Angie.
Faith is central to our lives, and both of us grew up attending church regularly. Russ’s extended family lives in Puerto Rico, and he treasures his heritage, visiting with Angie whenever they can to connect with family and experience the beautiful culture. We have many close friends in Colorado who feel like family. We travel together, celebrate holidays together, and gather for meals often. Most of our friends have young kids so we’re excited for our future child to grow up having a supportive community and many friends.
Our future child will be embraced by a loving village of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who can’t wait to welcome them home.
