We want to thank you for taking a look at our profile and considering us as the adoptive parents for your child.

If you were to choose us, we promise to fill your child’s life with love, joy, fun, and laughter. We promise to love your child with all our hearts. We have so much love to give and wish to share that love with your child. We promise to guide and support him or her in whatever goals they may set for themselves throughout their life to help them grow into independent, respectful adults. Your child will be loved and cherished; he or she will bring a lifetime of joy and happiness to our family. It has been our life long dream to become parents and we have one adopted son that is flourishing wonderfully. We know words cannot adequately describe how grateful we are to you to help us grow our family and even though we’ve never met, we pray for you and your child every day. We are hoping for an open adoption with this child.

OUR STORY, WRITTEN BY FERNANDO

We have a very strong relationship.

We both met when I was in college through some mutual friends. We had an instant connection because by the end of our first date, we were holding hands and I had butterflies in my stomach. However, our relationship got started to a very slow start as I was in my last semester of college and was very busy at the time. Her friends would tell her to forget about me and move on, but thankfully she didn’t. By that Thanksgiving Holiday we were engaged.

OUR FAMILY

Santiago is our four-year-old adopted son.

He is witty, funny and so loving. He started Pre-K this school year and is doing great. Santiago loves it when we hang out in the backyard. We have a picnic blanket that we use under the huge mulberry tree that’s in the yard to play with cars and other toys. He also loves to swing on his circular swing. He’ll chase our dogs around for play as well. We have an open adoption with his birth mother and truly hope to have the same with you. 

We have had a very strong family upbringing which is very important to both of us. 

Without our family’s support, we would not be who we are today. The most important people in our immediate family is our parents and siblings. They support us in every way possible like we support them. We have direct communication with them everyday even if its just to say good morning or good night. We visit with them as much as possible and try to spend as least several hours a week visiting. Our immediate family consist of three grandparents, four brothers and two cousins to Santiago.

 OUR HOME

We live in west Texas and we have a very diverse community. 

We typically spend a lot of time in the kitchen and living room area as a family. We also spend a lot of time in the back yard as well. The back yard is a focal area of our home for several reasons, we like to have family over on the weekends and have cook outs. Our son loves to play and run around on the grass with our dogs and let his desert turtle roam free. In the hot summer evenings we like to sit out in the yard and watch movies on the projector screen. In the cool evenings of fall and winter, we light up the fire pit, roast marshmallows and make s’mores.

About Fernando

  • We try to take Santiago to the beach at least once a year, that is his favorite place to go

  • Favorite dessert is anything tarty and tangy

  • I like to collect vintage tools (besides cars)

  • I speak Spanish and English

  • I like restoring muscle cars and building hot rods

  • I enjoy going to the races when possible
