We are a loving couple who appreciate you taking the time to review our profile.
We recognize the strength and courage you have in considering adoptive parents for your child. We have been on a long journey to make a family, but unfortunately are unable to have biological children. We are very honored and excited to be considered for adoptive parents.
David is an only child, raised by a single mom; he has dreamt about having a family his entire life. We already spend tons of time with our nieces - ages 6, 8 and 10 - and we could not think of a more vibrant, fun group of girls to bring a child up with. We have an amazing group of family, friends and neighbors that we spend lots of time with. Our goal is to provide a home full of love, memories, opportunities and support.
OUR STORY
David was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Chicago in the early ‘80s. Stephanie was born and raised in Wisconsin, moving to Chicago after college.
We met through a matchmaker in 2011. We share many loves, but the most impactful is our love of travel. It is so exciting to eat new foods, learn about different cultures, get to know local people and see amazing places. When traveling, we actually get to know and appreciate our lives and each other even more. For our wedding, we brought our families to Aruba and held a ceremony on the beach.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We have a home in a family-friendly neighborhood of Chicago, IL.
Summers are our favorite - we have a pool so days are filled with family, friends, cookouts and lots of fun. We host an annual 4th of July party where we simply sit on our back deck and watch fireworks shoot off from around the neighborhood. We love food! Throughout the year we cook all kinds of dishes. Our favorites are curry, chili, grilling kabobs or burgers, smoking brisket and pork belly. Additionally, Stephanie has learned a few traditional Vietnamese recipes from David’s mother - including her amazing egg rolls. When not cooking for ourselves, we like to go out to restaurants with friends.
Most of David’s mother’s siblings also immigrated to the Chicago area. Annually, we all get together in Chinatown to celebrate Chinese New Year. And in late summer we host a family party where Vietnamese family favorites cover the grill.
Stephanie’s parents, Greg & Mary, and sister, Shelby, live just 2 hours away in Wisconsin. During summers they visit on weekends for pool time, but we tend to spend most of the winter holidays up north. We always cook traditional meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas - every one pitches in and there’s always too much food! Christmas Eve is a time for gift exchanges and catching up with extended family.
