We are a loving couple who appreciate you taking the time to review our profile.
We recognize the immense strength and courage you have in considering adoptive parents for your child. Our path to parenthood involved a long journey, as we are unable to have biological children. However, that journey led us to our greatest blessing: our daughter, who we adopted at birth, is now a wonderful, joyous two-year-old. Having already experienced the miracle of open adoption once, we are honored and incredibly excited to be considered as adoptive parents again, hoping to expand our loving family.
David is an only child, raised by a single mom; he has dreamt about having a family his entire life. We spend tons of time with our nieces - ages 9, 12 and 13 - and we could not think of a more vibrant, fun group of girls to bring a child up with. We have an amazing group of family, friends and neighbors that we surround ourselves with. Our goal is to provide a home full of love, memories, opportunities and support.
OUR STORY
David was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Chicago in the early ‘80s. Stephanie was born and raised in Wisconsin, moving to Chicago after college.
We met through a matchmaker in 2011 and share many loves, but the most impactful is our love of travel. It is so exciting to eat new foods, learn about different cultures, get to know local people and see amazing places. When traveling, we actually get to know and appreciate our lives and each other even more. Our daughter is already a seasoned traveler having been to several states, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Italy.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We have a home in a family-friendly neighborhood of Chicago, IL.
When we're not at the park, we spend countless hours playing and splashing in our pool during the summer. Since Chicago has long winters, we love escaping to our fun-filled toddler play space in the basement where we're hoping the adventures never stop. Our place isn't just a house; it's a home that's warm, stable, and full of love. All friends and family are welcome. We believe in being open and honest, and there's always plenty of laughter around here. Everyone would be so thrilled to have another little one join us and share our love for games and books.
Family is central to everything we do, and we define family not just by blood, but by who shows up and offers love. Sadly, David recently lost his mother so have had a year focused connecting with relatives on both sides and from our vast network of friends—the family we’ve chosen. Stephanie’s parents, Greg and Mary, and her sister, Shelby, are two hours away in Wisconsin and they visit often for summer pool fun! Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving are huge events, filled with gift exchanges and way too much food. G-Pop Greg is the family fix-it expert and has taught us tons about home improvement while G-Ma Mary has imparted her passion for Disney — a joy we recently got to experience as a family.
Beyond our relatives, our circle of friends and their children are a constant source of laughter, play dates, and reliable support. This community is diverse, loving, and always welcoming. We all work together to ensure our children will grow up surrounded by positive role models of all ages.
