Marshall is goofy and the life of the party. Kids flock to him because he always knows how to make them laugh. Sarah is creative and kind. She is always designing the next project in her head (and how to talk MARSHALL into it).
We are so excited about expanding our family through adoption. We both come from loving, supportive households where family is everything. We have tried to have a baby the old-fashioned way for the last five years but have unfortunately suffered five miscarriages. Even through all that loss we have never lost our desire to be parents and are so excited about this new opportunity to find our baby through adoption.
ABOUT US
Our LOVE STORY STARTS WITH TACOS.
One Sunday after church both of our families ended up at the same Mexican restaurant. By a twist of fate, our moms worked together before we were born and even threw each other baby showers when they were pregnant with us. We were of course mortified that they were talking to each other (as teenagers often are) but begrudgingly said hi. We started dating about a year later and still feel so incredibly lucky to know each other.
We have been married for 12 years and love to laugh, travel, host dinner parties, and work on our house together.
We truly bring out the best in each other and we work really hard to make sure that the other person feels loved and understood. Our families all live nearby and are very close. We spend most holidays all together and can’t wait to see the joy that a new baby brings to those gatherings.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We live in a beautiful, historic neighborhood of Northeast Florida in an 82-year-old home we absolutely adore. We have a town square that is walking distance from our home with restaurants, bookstores, a movie theatre, and a playground. We love to walk or ride our golf cart up to the square in the evenings and on weekends. We are also only 2 blocks from the St. Johns River, so we often go sit by the shore and watch the sun set. Our neighbors are our friends and they all have young children who play together outside nearly every day. Last year we put a pool in our backyard and we have had so much fun spending time out there with our friends and family.
WE HAVE BOTH BEEN blessed WITH INCREDIBLE PARENTS WHO ARE sUPPORTIVE, KIND AND LOVING.
Both sets of our parents have been married for over 30 years and provide an incredible example of hard-work and loyalty. Our child will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family and our parents could not be more excited. When we told them we were pursuing adoption there was squealing, jumping, and cried many happy tears. We spend a lot of time with our families, and enjoy getting everyone together for dinner and to celebrate holidays. Each side of our family has their own special traditions and we can’t wait for our child to join the mix.
Four years ago, Marshall’s cousin Madi moved in with us and we have absolutely loved having her!

We recently purchased a rocking chair for our nursery and sometimes we just sit, rock, and think about all the things we want to give to this child. We want them to feel deeply loved, celebrated, and appreciated. We want them to dream big and boldly chase after those dreams. We want them to be humble, passionate, generous, and kind. Most of all, we want them to know without any doubt or hesitation that they are cherished by us and by their birth family.
