As we write this letter to you, we are filled with so much hope and excitement for the possibility that you will see how much we hope to share our love and lives with your precious baby.
We’ve been blessed with eight years of happy marriage, success in our careers, countless travel adventures and strong bonds across both our families, the only thing missing is to share this immense love with our child(ren). After several failed fertility treatments, we know that our dream to have a family of our own will only be made possible through the courageous gift of adoption, by someone as brave as you.
OUR STORY
We met 13 years ago on the beaches of Lake Michigan, and first found love through friendship and volleyball.
Faith, family, and an adventurous nature are the things that solidified our bond. Ron likes to remind Ronnie that her hair is what sparked his physical attraction (he calls her his Shakira), but says that it was the fact that she rejected him the first time he tried to ask her out, and he’s not one to lose a challenge. For Ronnie, initially it was his confidence and his personality – there was something about him that just always made her want to have him around.
We both come from big families who mean the world to us. Having both our families bond was so important, that we chose a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. We knew this was a great opportunity to bring our families together and build new memories.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We love our home, and it's surrounded by some of the best schools in Chicago. We’re surrounded by so many amazing parks, museums, nature reserves, the Great Lakes and of course the beautiful city.
Living in the Midwest, we have the pleasure of enjoying all four seasons and try to plan activities that allow us to take advantage of each one. During the warm months, Ronnie loves gardening and we love taking walks in the park, boating on the lake, and hosting countless family gatherings where we grill on the patio, enjoy outdoor games of volleyball or basketball or anything that promotes friendly competition. Whenever we can, we enjoy evenings with a bonfire listening to music or family stories.
Our loved ones
Both sides of our families love singing and dancing, so it’s never far-fetched to find that any gathering will turn into a karaoke night and the furniture gets pushed aside to make room for a dance floor.
Having immigrated from Venezuela when he was 17 years old, Ron and his family have worked extremely hard to rebuild their lives in a new country which helped them maintain such a strong bond of support and commitment to each other. Since Ron’s father passed away just before we got married, Ron has made it his mission to always care for his mom and sister.
Ronnie comes from a large Mexican family that is extremely close and connected across many generations. Despite having eight brothers and sisters who are spread throughout Illinois, Ohio, California and North Carolina, they all maintain very close relationships and always find ways to come together. They do this to ensure the next generation of kids (22 nieces and nephews and counting) all experience our close family values and grow up knowing and loving each other.
