Words cannot describe how thankful we are that you are taking this time to get to know who we are as a couple and as individuals.
We cannot begin to imagine the multitude of feelings you’re experiencing throughout this journey, but we can imagine a lifelong relationship with you and your child. We are committed to being the best dads, coaches and support system for our future child, but we cannot do that without you. We hope you enjoy learning about Tom’s big family and love for cooking, as well as Mike’s diverse education career and dreams of being a parent! And most of all, we cannot wait to share all of that with a child.
OUR STORY
We first met in Philadelphia when Mike visited the city for the first time.
Tom who grew up in the area was already living in the city with his brother. We were instantly drawn to our strong love of family and how our personalities balanced one another. Tom who is courageous and boisterous brought out the fun in Mike. Mike being thoughtful and meticulous helped Tom to slow down and enjoy the simple loves in life.
We truly have become best friends, which is rooted in our passion to be parents.
OUR HOME
We live in a traditional colonial home in a town just a few miles outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Upper Dublin, a highly ranked public school district in Pennsylvania, is the same town where Tom was raised and has such fond memories. We are driving distance to other cities like Washington, D.C. and New York, but also close to both the beach and mountains. We have a big flat fenced in backyard perfect for a game of soccer, tag, or water slide! One tradition we love is Halloween in the neighborhood! All the neighbors will set up fire pits on their driveway and sit outside for the children to walk by and collect their candy. It is a friendly and inclusive neighborhood.
OUR FAMILY
All but Tom’s brother live within 10 minutes from our home. This includes his two sisters, their husbands, and children, and Tom’s parents, grandmother, and aunt/uncle. Tom’s brother and sister-in-law moved to Denver, CO last year. Tom’s family is extremely close and love to laugh and enjoy the time they share together. Tom’s family is big on frequent and informal family gatherings. Whether it is a Friday pizza night at our house, a Philly Eagles game cookout, or a Sunday family dinner. We are always happiest when we are together.
Mike’s family lives about two hours away, just outside of Baltimore, MD. We like to plan frequent weekend visits where we spend time catching up, playing games and visiting places from his childhood. He has two biological brothers who have a combination of three sons and two daughters. His sister, who was adopted at birth, has a son. This makes the family gatherings and holidays a ton of fun with laughter and memories! Mike had a hilarious and loving stepbrother, Tim, who suddenly passed away in May of 2022.

My favorite vacation spot and pure source of happiness is at the beach in Avalon, New Jersey.
A perfect day is one with our whole family filled with food, laughter and memories!
Any dessert with massive amounts of chocolate is heaven!
Huge Philadelphia Eagles fan! We never miss a game!
Sadly, I cannot live without the Real Housewives Franchise. Iced coffee is a close second!
Mike’s Favorites
Sports Team: E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!; I like to think of myself as a good luck charm as the city won the super bowl the year we moved to Philly.
Hobby: Running (I completed my first 10 miler this year!)
Seasonal activity: Going to pick our fresh Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving.
I can’t live without: Our leisurely Sunday morning walks with Cooper before church.
Dream job: Anything that continues to mold the lives of children!

Your child will have a life filled with big family parties and an abundance of loving cousins. Summer days spent at the beach and holidays spent with lots of lights, trees, cookies, and memories. We look forward to connecting and getting to know you soon!
