WHY ADOPTION
We both come from big families and have always cherished the energy, connection, and joy that come with a full house. From early on, we knew we wanted our children to grow up with siblings—sharing laughter, memories, and the lifelong bond that comes from growing up together. After welcoming our son Robert, we experienced unexpected medical complications during childbirth that made it impossible for us to grow our family biologically. While that news was difficult, our hearts were already open to adoption. It quickly became more than just an option—it became a calling. Adoption brought our second child, Charlie, into our lives, and we can’t imagine our world without him. The love we have for both of our boys is immeasurable, and adoption has only deepened our belief in the beauty of how families are formed.
We’re excited and hopeful to complete our family through adoption, knowing just how special and life-changing this journey can be.
HERE’S OUR STORY
We met in 2011 while both attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Our story began as friends in college, where we connected through agricultural groups on campus. Over time, our shared love of laughter, the outdoors, and being with family and friends drew us closer together. After a year of friendship, we went on our first date—though Peter didn’t realize it was a date at the time—to church. While unconventional, it set the foundation of faith and values that continue to guide our relationship today.
After a few years of long-distance dating, our bond only grew stronger. Peter proposed to Michele in Jamaica on her birthday, and in 2018 we were married surrounded by the love of our friends and family.
Ten years after that first church date, we were blessed to welcome our son, Robert, into the world. Two years later, through adoption, we were blessed with our son, Charlie. Parenthood has been the most rewarding experience of our lives, filling our home with laughter, learning, and love.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We reside in a charming, close-knit community in southern Wisconsin, so small it only has one traffic light.
Despite its size, our town recently welcomed a Culver’s and a Kwik Trip, adding to its appeal. Our spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home is ideal for a family of five, featuring plenty of room to grow and a large, fenced-in backyard perfect for playtime. Family is nearby, with Peter’s parents living in town and Michele’s brother less than an hour away. Having grown up here, Peter always knew it was the perfect place to raise a family. Our neighborhood is not just a place to live but a community where everyone looks out for one another.
We enjoy the variety of activities our community provides, and its proximity to several larger cities makes it easy to for day trips for new and exciting adventures. Our town hosts numerous family-focused events, and the schools are well-funded, ensuring plenty of opportunities for children. Recently, a new city pool opened just three blocks from our home, and our local church is conveniently located five blocks away. One of our favorite spots is a charming ice cream shop within walking distance, where we love to treat ourselves.
We have a huge support system that cannot wait to meet your child.
MEET OUR FAMILY
We have both been blessed with large, loving families. We are close to both immediate and extended families. Both sets of grandparents are actively involved in our and Robert’s lives.

My house projects include everything from finishing our basement to making wooden furniture

I could survive on Macaroni and cheese if I had too
