Our Adoption Journey: Watch Now

Adoption brings a range of emotions, and we deeply respect the difficulty of your decision.

If you choose us, we promise to honor your role as a child's birth mother and ensure they always hold a special place for you in their heart. Adoption has always been our first choice to start a family, as we’ve long known about our fertility challenges. Even while dating, we knew adoption was our path, and once married, we began researching it wholeheartedly.

Our hearts are open, and we are excited to embark on this journey to parenthood. Please feel free to ask us any questions—we’re here to provide any information you need.

Warmly,
Maryanne & Sean

Our Story

We met through mutual friends over Memorial Day weekend in 2013 and instantly hit it off.

Our first few dates were all over New York City, with one of our favorites being a long walk and talk along the Hudson River. As our relationship grew, we moved in together in New York. After five years of dating, Sean proposed with a sweet picnic in Prospect Park in 2018, and Maryanne said yes! Sean even planned a celebration with friends afterward. We tied the knot in September 2019.

Our Interests

One of our absolute favorite things to do together is travel!

Whether just planning a day trip or going away for a week-long trip abroad, we love to explore new places together. Maryanne's goal is to visit all 50 states, and she is well over halfway there. We both have family living in Florida and are lucky to have an excuse to fly down and have some fun in the sun a couple of times a year. We can't wait to show our future child some of our favorite places and experience them through new eyes.

A Little About Maryanne

BY SEAN

Maryanne is a caring, intelligent, and compassionate person.

Maryanne is the friend everyone wishes they had—kind, caring, and always planning fun events like picnics, dinner parties, and weekend getaways. From our first date, I knew she was special. We bonded over a love of history, New York City, and crossword puzzles. Maryanne is curious and always learning, recently picking up needlepoint and knitting gifts for friends. She works remotely for a media company with a generous leave policy, and she plans to take six months off to bond with the baby.

Children adore Maryanne for her warmth, storytelling, and gentle nature. She’s kind, patient, and ready to embrace motherhood with love and responsibility. I know she’ll be an incredible mom and can’t wait to see her welcome a child into our family.

A Little About Sean

BY MARYANNE

Sean is a smart, funny, kind, and responsible person.

Sean is my rock—a loving, supportive, and reliable partner. As an attorney, he’s hardworking and dedicated, with a hybrid schedule that lets him work from home part of the week. Sean is organized, loves planning adventures, and has a knack for finding the best restaurants. Summers at Lake George with his family are a cherished tradition we look forward to sharing with a little one.

Sean enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. He’s a devoted uncle and has shown his natural ability to bond with kids. With his gentle spirit, patience, and sense of humor, Sean will be an amazing dad. I feel lucky to have him as my partner, and I know he’ll bring so much love and joy to our future child’s life.
