We live in Florida, splitting our time between Orlando and Miami.
We are parents to one biological daughter, Natalie, age 12. As a result of some medical complications, we were unable to have any more children and assumed we would be a family of three. However, as we grew as a family, we felt called to share our love, home and lives with additional children through adoption. If you feel our family would be a great fit, we promise to raise your child in a loving and joy-filled home. We will do our absolute best to meet all the physical and emotional needs of your child while providing the love and unconditional support they need to thrive as they grow and mature into adulthood.
OUR STORY
We are college sweethearts, WHO MET IN BOSTON.
Mariell was studying abroad, far away from her home in Costa Rica. Michael was somewhat closer to home, having grown up in Pennsylvania. We met when we were put in the same group for a semester-long school project. We ended up forming a beautiful friendship that slowly grew into a relationship. Three years later, we moved to NYC and got married with a beautiful wedding in Nicaragua. We have been married for nearly 20 years!

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
Our home is located within a gated lakefront community near Orlando, Florida.
Our home has a large yard and is located directly on the water. We love being able to go on the boat, jet-ski or watch the sunrise and appreciate nature's beauty. The neighborhood has many families with young children, so there are frequent family events throughout the year. Our favorite is the Christmas boat parade, where people decorate their boats and drive around the lake for those on the island to enjoy. The older children ride their bikes or scooters to each other's houses and there are frequent lemonade stands in the summer. We love our location, as it is located less than 10 minutes from an excellent private school, as well as our country club which has golf, tennis, pickle ball, pool parties and other fun events for children. We are also less than 30 minutes away from Disney World, Universal Studios and all the other theme parks.
OUR EXTENDED FAMILY is rooted in rich latin traditions on mariell's side and american traditions on michael's side; both full of love, warmth and joy.
Picture a large, bustling family that thrives on laughter, shared stories and cherished traditions. From lively Christmas parties, to family winter trips skiing in Beaver Creek, Colorado, to summer trips spent at the beach at Siesta Key. Our families are a sanctuary of love and support. Our gatherings are frequent, celebrating everything from big to small. Our family tapestry extends across the globe, with Christmas in Nicaragua and summer trips to the Finger Lakes in NY with Michael's family. Our parents, the strong root of our family tree, are cherished and central to our lives. We plan our holidays around them, seeking their wisdom, blessings and the comfort of their presence. Mariell's Latin heritage has instilled in us a sense of family unity that sees our siblings as second parents to our child. Their love for her is boundless, treating her as their own and making sure she is enveloped in their love. Same with our nieces and nephews, they are like her siblings. In our family, love knows no bounds woven in every interaction, shared meal, every trip and tradition.
