We commend you on the courageous decision you are making on behalf of your child; we know it is rooted in an amazing feat of unconditional love. We have always tossed around the idea of adoption from the early stages of our relationship, but when some health issues arose for Lima which would make pregnancy itself more high risk, we happily cemented our adoption plans. Our goal is to raise a child to be a thoughtful and caring person who will be accepting of everyone, as we believe everyone needs and deserves compassion.

We are looking forward to sharing our love of animals, nature, and travel with our future child, and can’t wait to see the joy on their face when they experience the beauty of this amazing world.

 ABOUT US, BY LIMA

Dustin and I met online, we are a Bumble success story!

We were both looking for long term relationships and our similar senses of humor made for instant chemistry. We also quickly learned we enjoy going the distance for the perfect picture and jokingly call him my perfect Instagram-husband! For example, when Dustin proposed, he had me march straight up the side of a mountain, in heels, with mild asthma, after a full meal, hop a safety border, all for a perfect picture! The resulting picture was beautiful and made for a pretty funny story.

We’ve climbed rocks, slid across mud, and stood under icicle waterfalls for a beautiful memory I never have to worry about not having the perfect picture!

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES

Reno has a lot to offer in the way of live entertainment, astounding skiing/extreme sports, parks, hiking trails and so much more. One of the coolest aspects of where we live is that we are within an hour of both Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake. The Reno area receives all 4 seasons and we get between 20-30 inches of snow, but we can quickly escape the cold by traveling east into a drier part of Nevada or head a few hours west to the California coast. It’s the best of both worlds!

We live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood consisting of single family homes and children are regularly outside playing basketball or other games. We see kids of all ages, genders and races playing together and as a mixed race couple ourselves, this was very important to us. We have a fenced in backyard which we fully expect one day will become home to a playset or trampoline!

There are grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides who are so excited to meet our newest addition!

Our families are very opposite and we love what we get from either side. Lima’s family is more than content watching foreign films on the sofa all day while her mom whips up amazing meals for everyone. Food plays a very important role in that household and Lima has a very daring and healthy relationship with food as a result! Dustin’s family is wildly adventurous and is always ready to go camping, road trip with all the grandkids, float/kayaks down any river and more!
