We are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you.
Adoption has always been our first choice for growing our family. We knew we wanted to become parents by adopting instead of having biological children because we wanted to share out love with a child who is already in this world. Our lives and home are built around the dream of having a family. We are excited to open our hearts to your child.
We understand that choosing an adoptive family is a significant decision. We are open to the level of openness you feel comfortable with. We believe that the more love a child has, the better, and we are committed to creating an environment where your child feels loved, supported, and cherished by everyone in their life. GETTING TO KNKOW US
From our first date, we connected over our love for our pets, traveling, nerdy jokes, and food.
Each day together brings us a snuggly moment with our pets, a chance to make each other laugh with an unexpected pun, or a new recipe to explore. We blend our diverse backgrounds through family recipes, from the Indian dishes Rahul grew up with to the cheese fondue Lauren’s family enjoys every Christmas Eve. As a multicultural family, we celebrate a bigger calendar of holidays and are excited to embrace and incorporate birth family culture and traditions into our lives.
Our marriage is strengthened by our commitment to making decisions together, always taking into account each other’s ideas and perspectives. Our very different backgrounds provide us with varied styles and ideas for everything from organizing the kitchen to planning for the future. We are proud of our ability to talk through our different ideas, listen to each other, and come to the right decision for us. This intentionality is something we cherish and see as a strength in our relationship.
We are excited to bring the same level of thoughtfulness and love to raising our child, ensuring they grow up in a home filled with warmth, laughter, and a rich tapestry of cultural traditions.
OUR HOME
We built our home in a beautiful wooded half-acre lot in the Madison, Wisconsin area with our future family in mind.
We love what our community offers:
Free local zoo (our favorites are the red pandas and big cats)
The University and local companies attracting people from around the country and the world

OUR FAMILY
Our family is spread from down the street to across the world.
Rahul’s parents stay with us a few weeks with us each year and we expect that to only increase when there is a grandchild to dote on. Weekly Zoom calls and yearly family vacations keep us connected to those far away, while living close to Lauren’s family allows us to share both big and small moments together. Lauren’s parents split their time between their homes in South Carolina and in Madison. This allows them to spend quality time with their grandchildren and they’re excited for another grandchild in Madison.
Our child will grow up with a large network of ‘aunties’ and ‘uncles’ drawn from our close friends – just like Rahul did. To us, they’re family. They have been excited to be part of our path to parenthood whether they have kids or not. We’ve been fortunate to share adoption journeys with our close friends who are adopting children as well. As Rahul shared our plans with colleagues, we found a large community of adoptive parents at his workplace that are supporting us with sharing their experiences as well.
