We hope to get to know you and hope that you find comfort, strength, and peace as you consider your choices. No matter what choice you make, know that we only wish the best for you and your child. We hope that this gives you a glimpse into our family and thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
OUR STORY
We are Keara and bill along with our daughter Emily
We met [16 years ago] through a young adult faith group. I remember meeting Bill for the first time and being immediately attracted to him after learning that he dropped everything here in the U.S. and moved to Haiti to help others by teaching kids English and computers. He truly believed in serving others, had a strong faith in God, was good looking, and was witty. Bill remembers meeting a social worker with a heart of gold who juggled multiple jobs. But we were both dating different people. It took us a bit of sitcom worthy high jinks and some time to end up in a relationship together. Twelve years later, we still make each other laugh and we are still happily married despite our challenges with family stuff and infertility. Life isn't always easy but we lean on each other, our families and closest friends, laughter, and our faith to persevere.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We live in the western suburbs of Chicago and are surrounded by a small downtown area, lots of fun parks, excellent schools (both public and private), and a great community with many great resources. Our community hosts concerts in the park every summer, has different festivals throughout the year, and has so many different places to go for fun! Our home has a huge awesome backyard where we spend many of our nights by the fire, catching fireflies, making s'mores, growing tomatoes, herbs, or peppers, or swinging on our backyard swing when the weather is appropriate. We are involved in our local Catholic church/school. Keara is the leader of Emily's Girl Scout Troop and Bill helps coaching soccer. We are lucky to live near Keara's parents, her sister, and sister's family. We will often get together for spontaneous dinners together or play dates at the park or at Grammy & Papa's house. Bill's parents, sister, & brother are just a couple of hours away.
We are blessed with an amazing support system.
Keara is the eldest of 5 children, her sister lives just on the other side of town with her husband and 3 boys. Her 3 brothers all live out of state - either in Oregon, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. While we may be spread out, we are a close family and are always there for each other. Even when apart laughter, stories, and video calls keep us connected. Bill is the 2nd oldest in his family - with 1 older sister and 2 younger brothers. We are incredibly blessed with several amazing close friends that we met during college or during our time in the young adult ministry group. We have several groups of friends whom we go on annual trips with. Our close friends are even Emily's godparents. They live in California but we get together any chance that we can and often travel to each other.
