I’m a single, expectant mother-to-be working in healthcare in Chicago. Originally from India, i’ve lived in the united states for 32 years.
If chosen, I promise to raise your child with love, care, and guidance,
ensuring they grow into a successful and happy individual.
My wish for your child, is to embrace life with positivity, even amidst challenges, and to possess the confidence to achieve their dreams.
ABOUT ME
If I were to summarize myself in a few words, I would choose resilient, pragmatic, and passionate.
I put myself through college, helped raise my younger sister, and attribute my success to my unwavering resilience and hard work. I’ve worked hard my entire life and I’m proud of being where I am now in life. I believe in teaching my child these same principles to ensure they are able to navigate life and its challenges. I always say, life is tough and the best you can do in the moment is to be resilient with as much grace as possible.
My pragmatic side is what makes me work in corporate America to support a lifestyle I want. I enjoy my work and have the privilege of working with managers and team members who root and support my personal goals which is a blessing. When a situation presents itself, my thought is to resolve it with an approach that works for me and my family in the best way possible.
The third part of me is the complete opposite of the previous. I am, at my core, a passionately creative individual. I’m a dreamer, a writer, a poet, a singer, a dancer, a performer – artistic expression is central to who I am. This passion extends to my love for music, food, movies, comic books, romance, and fantasy books, and I happily claim my “nerd” status! From the moment I first stepped on stage at age four, performing has been an integral and enduring part of my life.
MY HOME AND FAMILY
I live in a fabulous neighborhood filled with schools for kids of all ages. In addition, there are many parks and green spaces for kids, my dog and I walk them a lot during good weather.
The neighborhood also has a variety of classes for kids such as gymnastic, climbing, and fencing. I feel I discover a new venue every time I walk around. My building is very unique as it has a movie theater, bowling alley and a grocery store in it which makes life very easy for me.
My family consists of my father, mother and sister; however, we have a very large extended family all across the US and in India.
While growing up, it was very common for us to visit family in India or different parts of the US. I grew up with my cousins and can’t wait for my child to have the same experience, playing with them and being spoiled by all the aunts and uncles.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
Languages I speak: I speak Hindi, English and Urdu fluently. Of this I read and write Hindi and English with excellent proficiency. Speaking in Hindi is a huge part of my identity and I fully plan on teaching that to my child. I do believe in teaching languages to a child as I think it leads to more success and opportunity.
Favorite Vacation Spot: I love traveling, and of all the spots I’ve traveled to, Italy is my favorite! I’ve traveled there twice and plan to go again. I can’t wait to take my child with me to enjoy new cultures and adventures.
Favorite Musical Artists: I love listening to music from all around the world in all languages. I listen to Indian, Turkish, French, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. I will say my current obsession is K-pop and I have fallen head over heels in love with BTS. Music is a huge part of my life and will be a part of raising my child. I am looking forward to dancing with my child to our favorite songs.
Favorite Hobby: I have a great love for books. I remember waking up to a new book by my bedside when I was young, a gift from my parents. I always found books to be a great escape where I could explore new worlds and I wish the same for my child.
