Although we’re in Texas, we are initially from the New York area. We love Texas, and this is our home, but our roots on the East Coast have shaped who we are. We come with our East Coast accents and bold personalities - but don’t let that fool you! We are teddy bears at heart.
We recently celebrated nine (!!) beautiful years together and have been married for four of those years.
We very much respect your selfless and brave journey considering adoption for your child and are so thankful to be considered.
OUR RELATIONSHIP AS TOLD BY JOHN
Nine years ago, we met online (through Facebook LOL!). And I immediately got butterflies when I saw Joey's picture!
Fast forward a few weeks, and we had our first date at Marshall’s (Yes, you read that right -the store!). I told him that I was “bougie on a budget.”
As the months continued, our relationship deepened, and after two years, Joey gave me a key to his apartment and asked if I would move in with him. Living together reinforced our love for each other, and we started to dream about our future: A house with a fenced yard and a dog - and most importantly - a child to love and adore and show them the world through travel. We started putting those plans in place and preparing our relationship for the next chapter. A few years later, it was Superbowl Sunday, and I got down on my knee and popped the big question. He said yes!

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We live in a beautiful Texas community in the Austin area - we recently built a home perfect for a family.
There are many cool and exciting things to do in Austin - from museums to parks and the world-famous bat bridge. Not to mention, the school systems here are rated as Blue-Ribbon schools- promoting remarkable academic excellence. Our child will have an amazing education in our school district.
Our families are completely different, each with a different dynamic, but both families have one common thread- they love and accept us as a loving couple.
We both have a huge village with many cousins and two sets of grandparents to help raise a child. Our village has seen and experienced everything from teething to babysitting and puberty to graduation! Most importantly, both families love us unconditionally and support us 100% in being dads.
