We are so excited that you’re opening our profile to get to know us (and our dog Lucy!) a little better.
We started down this road to adopt after numerous failed attempts to have a child biologically. Our hearts, however, are so full of joy at the chance to be parents, and we cannot wait to welcome a child into our home! We would be happy with an open adoption, to whatever degree you are comfortable with, in order to give your child a loving and supportive family that has access to all their familial relationships. It is our greatest hope to see our child thrive in a happy and loving home where their dreams can be nurtured.
ABOUT US
We like to say that we were guided to each other through God’s grace.
Joan’s aunt encouraged and prayed with Joan that she would meet the right man, and even had her congregation pray with her, prompting them to create Joan’s e-Harmony profile that same day. Her profile was matched with TJ, her very first match on the dating site, and what proved to be a final match as well! During our first date we chatted for a couple hours in the coffee house and the tavern across the street in downtown Nashville only to discover that we lived just a mile from each other. We’ve been married for three years and have only grown more joyous as the years roll forward. We feel that God has placed a calling in our hearts to be parents and we know how courageous and selfless your decision is that you would even consider pursuing adoption for your child.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES
We are nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac in a safe neighborhood away from traffic with a big fenced-in backyard. We’re in an ideal Nashville location 20 minutes from downtown, the airport and the neighboring suburbs.
Meet our family
Joan’s dad still lives in the same house in western Kentucky that she was born and raised in. Her two older brothers, sister-in-law, and three nephews and niece also live in the same hometown just a short hour and a half drive away. Joan’s brothers own a restaurant there and we often celebrate Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving holidays in Kentucky with her family. Joan and TJ are very close with Joan’s sister Leslie who teaches 1st grade and lives just 20 minutes from their home in Nashville. She does not currently have any children and cannot wait to babysit! Joan’s half sister Sarah lives in Michigan with her husband and three daughters who are the perfect family to visit for skiing in the winter, or fun on the lake in the summer time.
TJ’s parents and older sister Emily live in Michigan as well in a home within walking distance to Lake Michigan. We enjoy visiting during the summer and going out to the beach, picking produce from the local farms, and escaping the heat of Nashville. TJ’s older sister Emily is also a senior flight attendant for Delta, and gives great benefits for travel to the entire family. TJ’s younger sister, Jessica, lives in West Palm Beach with her husband and three daughters (ages 3 and newborn twins). They enjoy beach life and have access to a boat, campers, and plenty of bikes! We are blessed to be named the God Parents for our three nieces.

We are so excited and hopeful for the future!
This child will be provided with every opportunity to have an excellent education and pursue their dream in a happy and healthy home. We have spent years working to build a beautiful home, a strong marriage, and the most welcoming and safe environment for a blossoming child.
We want you to know that if we were to join you on this journey as you consider an adoption plan, we will honor you every day for the rest of our lives as we help your child understand their story. We want to make sure that this child will be aware of how much they are loved by you and will have an opportunity to develop a relationship with you when and however is best for you. If you make a decision that doesn’t include us, then know that we believe and respect that you are making the right decision for you.
