There may be many different reasons that brought you here. But whatever those may be, please know that we respect your courage and resilience very much. We are aware that this is not at all an easy decision. As you read this, we hope you can feel our commitment to loving and cherishing your child in every possible way. We have considered adoption since the early stages of our relationship, but for a long time, we have been striving to build a secure and stable life together. We now feel ready to share what we have with a little one and provide them with a caring and supportive family full of fun, joy, and unconditional love. We are so thrilled about the chance to grow our family, and to become the nurturing, loving, fun parents we always wanted to be!
OUR STORY
Janan grew up in Istanbul, Turkey, and James in Seattle.
While we were raised at opposite ends of the world, our journey together began after meeting in graduate school, where we quickly became each others’ best friends and biggest supporters. Now, a decade after getting married, we continue to inspire and motivate each other to become the best versions of ourselves we can be. While life is not always easy, the hardships and struggles we have gone through together made us a great team with great communication and taught us to always have laughter as our best medicine.

OUR HOME
We love our home and living in Texas.
While we spent many years living in upstate New York, and then Philadelphia, we finally settled down for good in South Texas 4 years ago. Anywhere we lived, we always quickly found a community. Texas was not a place we expected to end up, yet we have found stable jobs here and have embraced it with a sense of adventure and discovery. Now, after living here for 4 years, we cannot imagine going through another snowy northeastern winter. We have a newfound love for sunshine (and tacos) all year long. While we stay in touch with friends from all over the country, we have made wonderful friends in the community here too. Last year we bought a 4-bedroom house with a large garden and a pool. We love our home and our neighborhood because it is close to stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, while also being a very safe and quiet tree-lined neighborhood, full of nice old houses and friendly neighbors.
FUN FACTS
About James
Music: Loves all types of music, from Turkish rock and heavy metal, to jazz and blues.
Hobby: His main hobby is actually his job! He loves to read and write, and has even published two books, with a third on the way.
Explorer: Likes to try all sorts of different foods, travel, and see new places.
Pizza: Never says no to a slice of pizza.
Animals: He's an animal lover, grew up with dogs, and enjoys watching the little lizards in our yard.
Always stays curious: He is a curious George, and will go down rabbit holes on internet about any topic, especially if it involves music.
About Janan
Food: Loves to learn about food and cuisines and is knowledgeable about all kinds of food.
Speaking of food... She would eat potatoes in any shape or form. Boiled, mashed, fried, baked, roasted, you name it, she loves it!
Movies: She is a cinephile, and her nieces keep her up to date with children’s movies too.
Education: She is the first in her family to get a PhD.
Acting: She has done 8 years of stage-acting in theaters in the past. Her acting background comes in handy in the classroom.
Hobbies: Pilates, baking, and gardening are meditation for her. She is an expert at making bread and apple cookies too.
