Hi, we’re Rob and Hannah
We live a life full of love, dancing, and weekend adventures.
We invite you to get to know us and better by downloading and exploring our adoption profile book.
We’re happy to live in a colorful, close-knit neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio filled with community gardens, music on porches, kids riding bikes, and neighbors who actually know each other’s names. Our home is warm and welcoming, with a cozy backyard, and happy dog.
We have a big, diverse extended family - including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins - who are all ready to love and support this child. Each of us grew up in households that valued education, sports, and creativity, and we look forward to sharing these values with our children. We love books, music, art projects, and being outside whenever we can.
This is Our Story
We met in college and became close friends, bonding over shared values, deep conversations, and a love of silliness.
After graduation, Rob moved to Boston to earn his PhD, and Hannah stayed in Ohio teaching middle school in the inner city. We stayed in touch over the years, until we reunited 7 years ago! Together, we’re a team. Our relationship is built on a strong friendship, deep respect, and the kind of trust that comes from knowing someone through many seasons of life.
“We don’t have children yet, but parenthood has been a dream in our hearts for a long time. We’re thrilled to grow our family through adoption.
Thank you again for getting to know us... We’re truly grateful to share a piece of our story with you!”
Our Home
We live in a colorful, welcoming neighborhood in the city that truly feels like a small town.
Our community is full of friendly faces, local coffee shops, murals, and a big wooded area with hiking trails. Neighbors wave from their porches, young families take daily walks, and there’s often live music or a small festival happening nearby. Our home is a cozy two-story house with lots of plants in the windows and a big wraparound deck we built ourselves. We love our backyard; it has a garden, room to run, and quiet corners for reading or playing with our dog, Roe. We can already picture blowing bubbles and playing soccer out there with a little one. We enjoy all four seasons: fall leaves, snowy winter walks, spring blooms, and sunny summer days at parks and farmers markets. We’re close to playgrounds, museums, a zoo, and a riverfront. One of our favorite local traditions is a community street fair with food trucks, live music, and art. It’s the kind of place where you always run into someone you know. We can’t wait to share this special place with a child, growing up in a neighborhood full of warmth, creativity, and care.
Our Village
We come from families full of love, energy, and personality.
Everyone is excited to welcome a new child into the mix. Hannah’s family is big, joyful, and beautifully diverse. She has four brothers, one sister, and a young niece and nephew who can’t wait to play with a new cousin. Her parents live just 40 minutes away and are known for their generosity, love of arts and crafts, and epic game nights. Her family loves finding any excuse to be together, especially during their big reunion between Christmas and New Year’s.
Hannah’s extended family includes relatives from the Black community, South Korea, and Brazil. With cousins growing up in multicultural families, there’s a strong sense of openness, inclusion, and pride in each other’s backgrounds—something she and Rob are excited to pass along to a child.
Rob’s family is smaller but incredibly close. His parents live just 20 minutes away and are thrilled at the thought of becoming grandparents. His brother and sister-in-law live in New York and are thoughtful, creative, and passionate about sustainability. Time with Rob’s family is often spent enjoying home-cooked meals, meaningful conversation, and peaceful walks outdoors.
We can already imagine a child growing up making crafts and helping cook with the grandmas, hiking with the grandpas, and being surrounded by laughter, music, cousins, and care.
