We appreciate you taking the time to get to know us while making the tough decision of who will raise your child. We would like to show you the love we share for each other, our family, and friends, and the kind of life your child could have with us.

First and foremost, we want you to understand the respect we have for you. We cannot fully comprehend your experience, but we recognize your incredible bravery. Our hearts are with you as you embark on this journey.

OUR STORY

We are Emily and Chris from Rockland County, New York

We met in 2009, working at a local health food store. Emily was a cashier, and Chris was a deli clerk. We began dating soon after, and the rest is history. We have been together for over 15 years!

Emily finds a lot of joy in both baking and cooking, with homemade bread being her specialty. She has skied all her life and was a ski instructor for 10 years. Her newest hobby is running. She ran 3 races in 2023, and just finished her 2nd half marathon last month. She could play boardgames and backyard sports all day. She would love nothing more than to share these hobbies with a child of her own.

During Chris's free time, he likes to be out in the yard. Whether it's tending to the chickens, gardening, or playing fetch with the dogs, he loves being outside. Every year, we grow tomatoes from seeds and give out the plants to our family members; it brings us great joy. Chris also loves watching live hockey. We try to go to a game at least once a year. His favorite team is the New Jersey Devils.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES

We live in a suburb of New York City on a quiet, dead end street. Our church, top-rated public schools, and parks/hiking trails are all within walking distance from our home. Both of our parents live within ten minutes of us.

We're animal lovers! We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 6 chickens! We have a huge fenced in backyard where our dogs and chickens love to roam free. Plus, they're all accustomed to being around children and are incredibly gentle and affectionate with them.

During the holidays, our calendars are overflowing with cherished traditions.

Emily's father, who is of Italian decent upholds the Christmas Eve tradition of preparing The Feast Of the Seven Fishes, an Italian tradition that involves a multi-course seafood dinner always served along side his homemade pasta. Gathering with family and friends for our annual Cookie Day is our newest holiday tradition. Each year, we bake the classics and always try out a new cookie recipe! It has quickly become one of our favorite holiday celebrations! On Christmas day we gather with family at Christopher's grandmother's home. Wearing matching pajamas, we receive stockings filled with thoughtful gifts, and eat her delicious lamb. It's usually a laid back day, which is a great way to wrap up the hectic holiday season.

Chris's parents own a camper upstate that we visit every summer. There is a swimming pool, tons of hiking trails, an arcade, and plenty more family friendly activities. Our dogs love it too, making it a perfect escape for all of us.

Emily was blessed enough last year to be chosen as a Godmother to her best friend Jenna's son. Their parents are best friends, and Emily, Jenna, and Emily's sister are as well. They have spent countless vacations together, shared lots of laughs, and have been in each other's weddings. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have them in our lives.
