From the beginning of our marriage, before we found out we had fertility issues, we knew we wanted to adopt.

Adoption has been a wonderful part of both our families, bringing many blessings. Elyse’s Aunt and Uncle were both adopted, and we have two beautiful adopted nephews.

ABOUT US

We met in 2015 at a church event and were immediately drawn to each other's faith, openness, passion for educational equity, and dancing skills!

We started dating soon after, and a year and a half later said, “I do.” We’ve been married for five years and have absolutely loved how marriage has grown us as a couple and individually.

We value deep and meaningful relationships with family and friends, fellowship over food, and exploring the beautiful city of Chicago.

OUR HOME AND FAMILIES

We live in a neighborhood on the Northwest side of Chicago.

It’s a cozy place with lots of parks and a family feel. We absolutely love living in the city! The access to different cultures, art, and delicious food at our fingertips is truly incredible! Another amazing bonus, Elyse’s brother and sister-in-law live just 15 minutes away, it’s so fun to get together with their family! We also have many friends living in the city and nearby suburbs that we get to see often.

Our Kitties

We adopted two kitties this past year and we absolutely love them! They are brother and sister and their names are Leon and Luna. They are truly the best cats ever! They are so friendly, love to meet new people, and love to cuddle.
