We are beyond excited to become parents and we are grateful for the opportunity to share with you some information about ourselves. We are Christy and Jim and have been married for 9 years. Christy works in the medical device industry ensuring surgical products follow all regulations and are safe for patients. Jim is an Electrician, but also a Professional Magician performing for all sorts of events including children’s parties.
Our biggest dream is to become parents and have a family together. Unfortunately, we are unable to have biological children. We have always felt that adoption was our destined path in life to become parents and give a child a secure and loving home. We would like you to know that your child would be so loved and cherished as all we ever wanted was to become parents and fill that missing piece in our lives. We promise to provide a childhood that allows your child to experience the joys of life and follow their dreams.
ABOUT US
our story starts with just a little bit of magic!
Christy and Jim met online and instantly had a connection. During the first date, Jim amazed Christy with a magic trick that made a rose appear out of a flash of fire. It was love from that night on.
We both share similar interests, beliefs and morals and consider family and friends the most important aspects of our lives. Although we have things in common, we also have different personalities that balance each of us and make us better together. We both came into our relationship knowing we wanted to be married and become parents. In the evenings after work, we like to eat dinner together, watch a TV series or movies, and play with our dogs. On the weekends we love to plan time to see family and friends or exploring our area. We LOVE to travel and experience different places and cultures. We both have lived in different states and countries in our lives and we continue our traveling traditions as often as we can. We believe there is a great big world out there waiting to be discovered and we hope we can continue our travel adventures with our children as a family someday.

THE PLACE WE CALL HOME
We live in Illinois in a family friendly suburban community that is close to both the benefits of a big city as well as the quiet beauty of the country. Our neighborhood is full of families with children that play outside in all four seasons. We love living in a place where we can enjoy snowy, cold winter nights cuddled up at home, brisk fall weather exploring pumpkin patches, planting flowers in the cool spring sunshine, and hot and sunny summers on a lake. We live right near some state parks and lakes where families can enjoy walking and biking trails, fishing, boating and other outdoor activities. We are also a close drive to a big city where there are all kinds of amenities, culture and adventures. We live in a newer spacious home with a big fenced-in backyard that backs up to a small local farm. We love to spend time outside on our patio having BBQs and envision us also playing with our children and dogs in our backyard.

We have 2 small and sweet rescue dogs that we affectionately call our ‘fur babies’ Chewbacca and Leia (named after Jim’s love of Star Wars). We love our dogs with all our hearts and treat them as our family. We celebrate their birthdays and their ‘Gotcha Days’ each year with a special dog cake or treat. We enjoy going on walks and playing with our dogs. We create bonding time with them during various training classes we have taken together. Chewbacca (aka Chewie) and Leia both have received their American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) titles and we are so proud to be their dog parents.

MEET OUR LOVED ONES
We both come from big extended families that mostly live still in the Midwest.
We both have a younger brother and sister that live close enough to visit on weekends. We have six nieces and nephews and we are very involved in their lives growing up and love them like our own. Our nieces and nephews are very active in sports and we love to go watch their baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, football games whenever we can!
We love getting together on the weekends just to hang out and we especially like playing board games or going to the movies. We get together as a big family for every birthday and holiday to celebrate and we even have hosted at our home our big extended families (including aunts, uncles, cousins, and kids) together for a Christmas party.
