As we sit down to write this letter, our hearts are pounding with excitement and nerves. We first want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
And thank you for your strength and bravery that you are showing by embarking on this selfless journey. It is our hope that by learning more about us, you will feel at peace with your decision. We hope that we are given the opportunity to learn more about you as well, and what your hopes and dreams are for your child. Your bravery allows us the possibility for us to expand our family. We promise to love and cherish your child with all our hearts and provide them a safe and happy home.
ABOUT US
Our love story began when we met as college neighbors in 2009.
We became engaged in December 2012 while on a walk with our puppy and were married in July 2014. We were inseparable from the start, and after almost 10 years of marriage, we are still each other's best friend. We balance each other out perfectly. Alex is very calm, cool, and collected; while Cara is very loving, nurturing and kind. Like many others, we have faced our various challenges and hardships, but believe they have only strengthened us as a couple. We forgive, compromise, and make sacrifices. When life throws us curveballs, we always get through them together. We don't give up on each other and we cherish one another deeply. We dream together, laugh together, and grow together. Should our paths merge, we will wholeheartedly extend that same compassion and love to you and your child.

OUR HOME
we live in south central Wisconsin with our 3 year old daughter Hensley and dog Penelope.
After college, we moved around across the Midwest but we have found that Wisconsin is home to us. We absolutely love Wisconsin for the four seasons that we get to have. We know our winters can be brutal so we enjoy the spring and summertime that much more being able to do anything outdoors. We live in a ranch style house with a finished basement that has quickly become the kid playroom. Our living room is the core of our house with a wood burning fireplace to gather around in the fall and winter while we eat, drink, and spend time with our loved ones. Cozy is the best way to describe our house and anyone who enters, feels that. We live in a safe neighborhood with a ton of kids and dogs running around outside and going from one backyard to the next playing. We have a large fenced in backyard for our dogs to run around in with a swing set that the kids love to play on. Our neighbors became some of our closet friends and are now aunties and uncles to our daughter.
OUR LOVED ONES
We are both very fortunate to come from big, loving, and supportive families.
Cara grew up as the middle child with 2 brothers. Alex also grew up the middle child with an older brother and younger sister. His sister quickly became one of Cara's best friends and is now Hensley's godmother. We have a 3yr old niece and a 2yr old nephew who Hensley loves to play with. Although are families are not local, we are still able to see them often. We plan vacations at least yearly with our families - whether it be a quick weekend trip to the Wisconsin Dells, or a plane trip to our family favorite - Duck, North Carolina. These trips are always something that we look forward to knowing that we will all be together. We also love to host our families for holidays. Luckily, both our families are super close as well so it's fun when we are able to get both sides together. Thanksgiving is always a holiday that we love to host everyone at our house. In addition to our immediate family, we have an "extended" family in our friends and community. Our friends all have children ranging from newborn to pre-teens that Hensley loves to play with. Our future child will be surrounded by family and friends who will show and provide them all of the love, fun, and support; as well as a whole crew of kids waiting to welcome their new playmate.

My favorite vacation spot is the Outer Banks in NC.
My favorite meal is grilling steaks on the charcoal grill.
I can't live without chocolate and it's my favorite snack when I have a sweet tooth.
About Cara
My dream job would to be a party/event planner or photographer.
Perfect day - waking up with a hot cup of coffee, going to a farmers market, then having friends and family over for a cookout
Favorite season is Fall in Wisconsin
Favorite sport is football and team is Green Bay Packers
I absolutely love guacamole and can eat it by the spoonful
