Thank you for taking some time to get to know us. After nine years together, we’d love to welcome a baby into our lives and begin our family.
We are so excited for the possibility of becoming dads! We discussed having children early in our relationship and have known that adoption was the right course for us for many years. We both come from large, loving families and hope to raise multiple children so they can experience growing up with siblings.
OUR STORY
There were instant sparks when we met at work in Washington, DC in 2014.
We were friends for several months, enjoying many brunches and post-brunch dance parties in Augie’s living room. When we eventually went on our first date, Augie pretended to like Brussels sprouts just because he knew Matt loved them… and he hasn’t had another one since! We proposed to each other in 2020, and planning our wedding over the pandemic kept us busy and excited for the future ahead.
We truly can’t wait to share all the love we have in our hearts with a child and hope our profile will give you an idea of the loving, creative, comfortable, and secure home we can provide.
OUR HOME
We bought our first home in 2021. Chicago is a great place to raise a family, especially in our neighborhood.
We live on a beautiful tree-lined street and can walk everywhere, which we love to do with our dog, Luke. The schools are excellent and we love the diverse families in our community. We are a 15-minute walk to the beach, and there are parks on every corner filled with kids. Luke loves to play with the kids too, especially when they drop food.
OUR LOVED ONES
Augie’s family lives in Chicago, and we are so grateful to have them nearby. Augie’s brother has a baby boy, who is just about to turn two. We are thrilled at the possibility of giving him a cousin and to have our families grow up together in the same city. We get together with Augie’s family pretty regularly for family dinners and other gatherings. They have a cottage in Michigan where we spend time in all seasons - playing at the beach during the summers, and hiking through the snow in the winters.
Matt’s family lives in Philadelphia, and we are lucky to get to see them as often as we do. Christmas, especially, is a special time with them. Everyone wears matching pajamas and we play games while Matt’s mom and stepdad cook all the Italian specialties. When we all get together it can get pretty loud with laughter while we share stories and memories of growing up. Matt’s dad and stepmom live in New Jersey near the shore, and we are looking forward to visiting them with our children to make memories eating pizza by the slice and enjoying the beach and boardwalk.
