Thank you for getting to know a little bit about us through this profile. We hope this profile conveys some of who we are, and we’re excited about the possibility of meeting you in person if you think we would be a good fit as your child’s parents.
We live in the foothills just outside of Denver, Colorado with our cat, Mia, and our dog Tinkerbell. After dealing with infertility, we’re excited to start our family through adoption — hopefully an open adoption.
OUR STORY
We met on a retreat being held at a “Secret” location – actually a YMCA camp in Michigan.
We were first introduced when Chris asked to join Andrea and her friends in her canoe. After that, we became friends, hanging out more and more often. Our first connection was one of our shared Catholic faith, but we found we shared an interest in music, spending time outdoors, and an introverted sense of humor. Four months later, Andrea asked Chris to her dorm’s holiday dance – and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
After graduation, Chris got a job in Minneapolis, and we both moved to the Twin Cities. A year later we were engaged, and the following year got married in the mountains of Colorado. Shortly after that, we moved to Colorado.
Our marriage has been filled with adventures big and small. We’ve spent time traveling, having visited Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and Spain. We hope to someday visit Ireland and other parts of Europe. Closer to home, we love to go camping, hiking, and fishing. And when we’re not out and about, we enjoy relaxing at home together, whether that’s playing board games, watching a movie, or reading together.
We can’t wait to welcome a child into our family and into a loving environment where they can explore and grow.
OUR HOME
We live in the Mountain Community of Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado, just outside of Golden.
Our mountain home has beautiful views of the foothills, and our property backs up to public lands and national forest. Our main open-concept living area has big windows overlooking the mountain valley, and is a place we love to play and relax.
We love the feeling of being surrounded by the beauty of nature, while still being just a short drive away from the city for work and entertainment. We enjoy hiking, fishing and camping in the outdoors, as well as enjoying our home playing games, watching movies, and reading by the fireplace.
OUR FAMILY
Andrea’s parents are fun and love to have a good time. They love to travel, and we’ve gone on trips together with them to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Their door is always open for friends and family to visit, and we spend many weekends there playing horseshoes, going for walks, going to the hot springs pool, and watching movies. They are eagerly awaiting their first grandchild to spoil. Andrea’s brother Damion and his wife Megan are always part of the fun too. They love adventures and spending time in the outdoors.
Chris’ parents live in Wisconsin. They’re a loving couple who treasure spending time with family. For fun they enjoy biking, walking, and going to jazz concerts in the park. They live near Chris’ sister Annie, her husband Mitch, and their six children. We travel to visit them once or twice a year, and in the past we’ve had fun renting a lake home and spending time together boating, hiking, and playing games.
