Hope Built This Home, Love Will Grow It
We’re a happily married couple who first met in college, what started as a friendship quickly turned into a deep connection that’s only grown stronger over the years. After dating through graduation and building our careers, we were married three years ago in a celebration filled with family, laughter, and love.
Today, we live in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood in Mandarin, where we’ve put down roots in a home filled with cozy spaces, homemade meals, and the joyful howl of our Siberian husky, Bear. He’s full of personality and loves kids just as much as he loves chasing squirrels.
My wife is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a heart for helping others, and I work as the Chief Operating Officer for a clinical trial software company, work that’s both challenging and rewarding. Our careers have given us not only stability, but also a deep appreciation for compassion, patience, and the value of every individual story.
We’ve dreamed of becoming parents for a long time and are excited to grow our family through adoption. We believe in creating a home full of love, laughter, safety, and opportunity where a child can grow into exactly who they are meant to be, knowing they are unconditionally loved and supported every step of the way.

ABOUT US
We met in our early 20's in 2014 through the University of North Florida and have been together ever since.
We've been married since 2022 and live in Jacksonville, Florida in our cozy home, surrounded by parks, great schools and friendly neighbors. Our life is filled with weekend adventures, hangouts in our garden or hammock with our dog in our backyard, home cooked meals and lots of laughter! Alissa has a bachelor's degree in child psychology and a master's degree in clinical social work and works as a mental health therapist. Billy has a master's degree in public health and works in research software development. Prior to becoming a therapist, Alissa spent her graduate school years working as a Nanny and part-time staff at her childhood church in the church nursery and teaching Sunday school. Alissa and Billy are very family oriented and are the proud godparent's of nephews, Alex and Will. Alissa and Billy focus much of their time bonding with their god son's and family. Parenthood has always been a dream of ours and we ready emotionally, mentally and spiritually to welcome a child into our lives.

HOME AND FAMILY
We live in a single-family home with 3 bedrooms and a large, fenced-in backyard.
Alissa comes from a large, loud and loving Italian family who loves hosting and Alissa has gained a love of hosting as a result! Thanksgiving is Alissa's favorite holiday and Christmas is Billy's favorite holiday, which we decorate and celebrate every year with our family and friends. All of our close-knit, immediate family live in Florida and are a short car ride away. Our family plans to shower our potential child with love and are very excited about us welcoming a child into our home. Our neighborhood is full of kids and we live within a mile of an elementary school and preschool. The schools in our neighborhood are excellent and our home is just a short walk from parks, libraries and many restaurants. Our home is a reflection of who we are-cozy, welcoming, full of life, love and laughter.
Favorite Tradition
Every Christmas, our family puts on matching pajamas and turns movie night into a full event — complete with Christmas movies, cozy blankets, and big mugs of hot cocoa! It’s one of our favorite traditions and always fills our home with laughter and warmth.

We are total kids at heart and never miss a chance to dive into the magic of Florida's theme parks whenever we can!
