We live in Charlotte, North Carolina and are so excited to grow our family through adoption!
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us! Jerome was raised in Chicago, Illinois and Aisha in Brooklyn, New York (and a first generation American with roots in Trinidad and Tobago).
In our excitement and eagerness to expand our family, we decided to pursue adoption due to infertility.
This decision is easily one of the most important we’ve had to make in our marriage and is one we carefully considered before deciding to take this path together.
During our dating phase there were multiple mentions of adoption to expand our family, but we didn’t realize those early conversations would set the course for where we are today in our willingness and desire to expand our family through adoption.
We would love an open adoption because we believe it’s important that our child know who their birth mom or family is, and we look forward to building our relationship together. We also can’t wait for all the sweet moments that come with raising and caring for a child, including witnessing all the “first” moments.

When we aren’t working or spending time with family, you might find us gardening, hiking, bike-riding, and swimming. We are a great team in the kitchen and love to cook international cuisine, and we love to entertain. Jerome spends time painting and making music, while Aisha has a passion for fashion design and home décor.

OUR HOME
Having grown up in the Midwest and East Coast, we’ve been loving the Southern hospitality in Charlotte where we have put down roots and bought a house we love.
There are many mountains and foot hill trails, forest preserves, and outdoor attractions in this region, which makes it a fun place to live. We especially love and appreciate the weather, and the ease of visiting some of our favorite cities such as Asheville, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia and other destination cities in the south. In fact, we have started a tradition of going to Hilton Head twice a year and can’t wait to take our little one to the beach!
Jerome works in technology, often spending time in his home office, which also happens to be a production and mixing studio, along with a paint studio. Aisha loves cooking, so she spends lots of time in the kitchen, and has already started plans for creating a play area where the family will hang out.
OUR LOVED ONES
Jerome comes from a large family (5 siblings, 14 Nieces & Nephews and 2 great nieces/nephews) and an even larger extended family. The family is scattered, living in places as far away as Kyoto, Japan; Orlando, Florida; Green Bay WI; and Chicago, IL. We still make time to see each other via facetime apps and occasional in person.
AISHA IS A CHILD OF A SINGLE MOM. She grew up extremely close to her mom, grandmother and aunty who lived only a few blocks away. Grandma and G-ma are so excited to have a little one join our dance parties and shopping adventures! You can bet that G-ma has been praying about it, as she often prays for the entire family, as we have been praying for our child.
